Oktoberfest
Celebration at C.B. & Potts
C.B.&Potts is celebrating
the arrival of autumn with the release of
their widely popular Oktoberfest lager.
Oktoberfest started as a wedding
celebration party. Prince Ludwig of Bavaria,
who was later crowned King Ludwig I, wanted
the people of Munich to share in the celebration
of his marriage to Princess Therese Saxony-Hildburghausen
on October 12, 1810. He organized a horse
race, offered copious amounts of beer and
food and invited all the people of Munich,
thus creating the tradition of Oktoberfest.
C.B.&Potts Oktoberfest
brew is rich and malty, full-bodied and
exquisitely smooth. The brewers each carefully
select special malts, hops and unique lager
yeast to create a hearty, flavorful lager.
This beer takes considerably longer to produce
than their standard ales and is therefore
in limited supply.
Oktoberfest is expected to
be on tap at each C.B.&Potts location
through mid-October.
